How to File a CalRecycle CRV Claim with WeighPay

How to File a CalRecycle CRV Claim with WeighPay

Run your CRV recycling center through CalRecycle compliance: weigh-in, segregation, daily summary, and the DR-7/DR-6 claim export.

What you'll need

Steps

  1. 1. Verify the seller's ID

Scan the customer's driver's license. WeighPay checks the 24-hour redemption limit and the prohibited-seller list before allowing the transaction.

  2. 2. Weigh the material by stream

Capture a certified weight for each CRV stream (PET, HDPE, aluminum, glass, bi-metal) into its own line item. WeighPay computes the CRV value per pound from your current rate sheet.

  3. 3. Print the customer's CRV receipt

Issue the customer a printed receipt showing weights, CRV value, and any load-based deductions — meeting CalRecycle's customer-disclosure rule.

  4. 4. Reconcile the daily summary

At end of day, open Reports → CRV Daily Summary. Confirm pounds and dollars by stream match the cash drawer and bank deposit.

  5. 5. Export the DR-6 / DR-7 claim

Click Export CalRecycle Claim. WeighPay generates the DR-6 (processor) or DR-7 (recycler) file in the exact format CalRecycle accepts.

  6. 6. Submit to CalRecycle

Upload the exported file through CalRecycle's online portal. Keep WeighPay's audit copy on file for the required retention period.
