Georgia Regulation & Compliance Notes

Georgia Secondary Metals Recyclers Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-350 et seq.) requires secondary metals recyclers to register with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, capture seller photo ID, vehicle license plate, signed ownership statement, and photographs of the seller and the regulated material, and to submit daily electronic transaction reports. A hold period applies to regulated metals and payment must be by check above statutory thresholds. WeighPay 365 produces the GBI daily transaction export and retains the photo register for the full statutory period.
