New Jersey scrap operators register with municipal police under NJSA 13:1E-99.91 and capture ID + photo on every purchase. WeighPay 365 produces the municipal-format register on demand.

New Jersey Regulation & Compliance Notes

New Jersey Scrap Metal Business Act (NJSA 13:1E-99.91 et seq., effective 2009) requires scrap metal businesses to register with the chief of police in each municipality of operation, record seller photo ID, vehicle license plate, material description and weight, and photograph of the seller and material. Cash payments above $50 are prohibited and payment must be by check above that threshold. WeighPay 365 enforces the $50 cash cap, builds the per-municipality photo register, and exports a police-format compliance log on demand.
